Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe was born South London, England into an ethnically diverse family. Her father is Nigerian-Swiss as is her mom who's English. She was born in the South London Council Estate and went to The Brit School aged 14. In London she attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was obtained. As a student at the academy was when she performed in various stage productions, such as the King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting career started with Storm Damage. Since then she's made appearances as a guest for Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film of debut is that of the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred with Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. The following year she portrayed Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she appeared in Trexx as Ollie and in six episodes of Flipside. In 2008, the actress was offered Bambi as the main character in the ITV2 comedy Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe also appeared on the comedy How to Lose Friends and Alienate people (2008). A couple of her credits on stage are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) as well as Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe made her debut in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama program aired in the US on The CW for only two episodes before being removed from the air. In February of 2011, she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe's exit from the series was confirmed in May 2013. After two years as the main character she was a guest in the very first episode of season 3. In the television series Salem in 2014, she portrayed Tituba between 2014 and 2016. From June to July 2012, the actress was married to her long-time love actor Iddo Goldberg. They collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Goldberg also appeared with her on Salem.

Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with an extended family. The four brothers she had were also in the family including twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's siblings, who are all athletic, played in the summer months and play hockey in the winter months. Ashley did not walk, but she did dance, so at age just two years old, she began Baby Ballet -and she fell in love. It was then that she discovered Ashley's love for dancing. Ashley participated in the top divisions of tap, jazz hip hop, ballet the lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics as well as pointe until the time she completed high school. Every major dance festivals, like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, have awarded her the distinction of "top soloist".
