LeBron Raymone James Sr., born 30th December 1984 is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA). King James is widely regarded as one of basketball's greatest players. He's often compared with Michael Jordan when discussing the most famous player. James has been the recipient of four NBA Championships and Four NBA MVP Awards and the four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He also has the distinction of having two Olympic gold medals. James has the highest points during the playoffs, with the second-highest number of points in his career and is the seventh player with the most career assists. James is a member of 18 NBA All-Stars, 18 All NBA Teams and Five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. The ten NBA Finals is the most ever before, with eight of them in succession between 2011 and 2018; he was also selected to join The NBA 75th Anniversary team. In 2021 James was chosen to join be part of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022, he became the very first player to ever in NBA history to accumulate at least 10,000 career points in rebounds and assists. James played basketball for St. Vincent St. Mary High School in his home town of Akron Ohio and was heavily touted by the national media as a potential NBA superstar. In 2003, the Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the first pick of the NBA draft in 2003. Following his selection as 2004's NBA Rookie of the Year, he quickly established himself as an elite player within the NBA and was awarded the NBA's MVP Award both in 2009 and 2010. James failed to win a title with Cleveland and left the city as a "free agent" in 2010. This decision was made during the television special The Decision.
