LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American professional basketball player that is a player for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. He is known as King James he is widely thought of as one of the most successful players of all time and is often compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the best basketball player of all time. James won two Olympic gold medals as well as four NBA championships. James has scored the most points in the playoffs and has the second highest number of career points and is the seventh player with the most ever assists. This is a record for the NBA for him to be an NBA All-Star for 18 years. Ten NBA Finals is the most ever before, with eight of them in a row between the years 2011-2018. In 2018 he was also selected for the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. James was chosen as a part of the NBA75th Anniversary Team. And in 2022, he became the first NBA player in history to earn at least 10,000 points in a career. James played basketball with St. Vincent St. Mary High School within his home town in Akron Ohio and was heavily advertised by national media as a potential NBA superstar. A prep-to-pro, he was picked for the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first top pick of 2003's NBA draft. He was voted the NBA player of the year for 2004. He soon became one of the best players in the NBA and was awarded an NBA MVP Award in the years 2009 and 2010. James signed a free-agent contract following his failure to win championships with Cleveland. The decision to leave Cleveland to join Miami Heat, announced on the television show The Decision, is considered as one of the most controversial free-agent actions in sports history.
