Dua lipa is a English singer and musician born on August 22, 1995 at London United Kingdom. Her self-titled debut was released in 2017, after she signed with Warner Bros Records. The album peaked at third place in the U.K. albums chart and included eight songs, which included the U.K. number one single New Rules and Be the One I.D.G.A.F. The album, which is now been certified Platinum in various countries around the world has won the two Brit Awards (in 2018) for British female single artist, and British Breakthrough Artist. Dua lipa was born the 22nd of August, 1995 in London in the UK to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. By way of her maternal grandmother Dua Lipa, she is Bosnian. Her ancestors also come from the Kosovo town Peja. The two grandfathers of Lipa were historians. Lipa is the younger sister of Rina Lipa and an older brother called Gjin. Lipa was musically influenced by her father who also serves as the lead guitar player and the singer of the Kosovan group Oda. At home, her father played music by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics The Police Stereophonics. Lipa started to sing when she was only six years old. She started singing at the Sylvia Young Theater School when she was just nine years older. Lipa sang If I'm Not Gotta You from Alicia Keys and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera to be uploaded on YouTube. Lipa has signed Warner Bros. Records a contract in 2014. Her first single was released New Love in August of 2015.
